Background 

Tsien (UK) Ltd is a specialist electronic hardware/software company in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.Our Kestrel Radar Sensors brand has been developed over the last 8 years, we supply radar technology for the Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) sector. You will be working to develop detection and sensing systems for this thriving marketplace.

Software Engineer

Applicants should be experienced in embedded software development with advanced competencies in C and C++.

Skills Required

– Strong knowledge of C and C++. Embedded software knowledge is essential, with knowledge of ARM processors.
– Can work responsibly and autonomously to write and debug code quickly and efficiently to create working systems in line with project requirements.
– Able to correspond with clients, comfortably offer technical support as well as positive attitude towards fixing live issues.
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills
– Passion for technology and problem solving as well as an eye for detail.
– Strong awareness of mathematics and efficient algorithm development is desirable.
– Awareness of Agile working practice.
– Undergraduate (or higher) degrees in Computer Science or STEM fields.
– Experience of being involved with new projects during the analysis and early design phase to shape development approach.

Mathematician/Engineer  

To start with freelance work, with permanent role available depending on suitability and business requirements

You will be responsible for helping to engineer new sensing solutions, formulate signal processing algorithms for detection and sensing systems primarily in radar and vision systems

Requirements

– Strong knowledge of mathematics, STEM background with clear passion for technological engineering.
– Skills in applying advanced mathematics to solve problems.
– Imaginative and inquisitive style of work, willing to learn new skills to develop solutions for industry
– Experience with Matlab, C, C++, Javascript, SQL, VHDL are all desirable
– Excellent teamwork and communication skills
– Experience working with embedded electronics and microprocessors very beneficial
